Oggi vi vorrei parlare di una lounge chair molto particolare, un poltroncina degli anni Settanta introdotta negli interni più esclusivi in tutto il mondo!
La poltroncina Due Più di Nanda Vigo fu lanciata nel 1971 dall’azienda italiana di design Acerbis. Fu concepita nell’ambito della ricerca di Vigo sui materiali e sulla luce, caratterizzandosi per l’uso di forme geometriche essenziali e finiture riflettenti, in linea con il suo linguaggio progettuale.

La Poltrona Proust di Alessandro Mendini è uno dei pezzi più celebri e rappresentativi del design postmoderno italiano. Progettata nel 1978 per un’esposizione al Palazzo dei Diamanti di Ferrara, la poltrona nasce dall’idea di Mendini di unire un’impronta fortemente storicista (la forma baroccheggiante del mobile) a una decorazione ispirata all’arte, di preciso al puntinismo, in omaggio alla cultura figurativa dell’Ottocento.

I’m excited to share one of the releases from 2024 in the world of design, a Masterpiece of innovation and sustainability, the IN-SIDE sittings, proposed as a 2-seat sofa, an armchair, and a bench. This collection is made in Italy by MAGIS www.magisdesign.com, which brings out the beauty and texture of the material to enjoy in outdoor living spaces.

The author, the Arch. Thomas Heatherwick is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects; a Senior Research Fellow at the Victoria & Albert Museum; and has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from several outstanding institutions, such as the Royal College of Art, University of Dundee, University of Brighton, Sheffield Hallam University and University of Manchester. Moreover, in 2013 Thomas was awarded a CBE for his services to the design industry.

Oggi vorrei ricordare un grande nome, anzi due grandi nomi dell’industria del design: uno è Gio Ponti e secondo è l’azienda storica Sambonet.

Gio Ponti (1891-1979), il noto architetto e designer italiano, amava alternare materiali, tecniche e discipline creative, che fosse in architettura o nel design di interni. La sua ampia gamma di interessi lo portarono a occuparsi nei minimi particolari, fino alle posate. Il suo servizio FLAWARE del 1936 si distinse da subito per il suo design contemporaneo con manici chiaramente delineati. Le sue morbide curve si adattano con naturalezza alla mano.

Henge is a relatively young company in the Italian market, who already gained international recognition and love around the world! It was born in the heart of the Veneto lands, embracing a rich heritage of excellent craftsmanship, and the highest expression of Italian know-how.

All objects created by Henge are very distinctive by design and materials, and have a strong personality, adding character to the space and breaking the routine.

One of my favorite chandeliers from the Holland design company MOOOI is the model Heracleum III, part of the Moooi Lighting Collection. It was designed by Bertjan Pot in 2010, an airy LED lamp inspired by the flowering plant of the same name. The white leaves grow from one branch, creating a blossom of branches, making it look naturally. The structure is powered by Electrosandwich, a coating of conductive layers on the branches, creating a clean silhouette.

Edra is an Italian company of Tuscan origins, born in 1987. The nickname has ancient origins and it is quite suggestive. To fully understand the concept that stands behind, we must go back in history and enter the stately home of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Inside those villas, there was a special room called “esedra”, filled with comfortable sittings, a special space dedicated to welcoming guests and having long conversations. By taking the name “Edra”, the Italian company associates its mission with offering the best sittings ever, uniting technology with comfort, and creating elegant and timeless products we can enjoy every day.

Today we will take a closer look at a true ICON among DESIGN OBJECTS, the model Soriana, designed in 1969 by the Italian architects Afra and Tobia Scarpa, is a production 100% Made in Italy by the famous company CASSINA. This sofa received many awards, among whom the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1970, being declared “a masterpiece of complexity achieved through simple tools”.

Si tratta di un concetto innovativo ideato da Giuseppe Viganò: portare la moda in un prodotto d'arredo. Il modello Auto-Reverse è stato pensato di essere allegro, giovanile e dinamico, un affascinante pezzo must-have per i giovani di oggi! Dal design moderno e dettagli sofisticati dal gusto pop-rock, allo stesso tempo diventa sinonimo di comfort, facile da pulire e mantenere. 

Il modello Jupiter (Giove, IT) unisce un design visionario ai materiali innovativi e tecnologie all’avanguardia, dando vita e forma a questo modello spaziale! L’architetto e designer di origini italiane, Mauro Lipparini, ha creato diverse storie di grande successo per svariati marchi internazionali, ma questa è del tutto SPECIALE! Questa è la poltrona Jupiter.
