In most of his projects, Henningsen is calculating the shape and the size of the lampshades with meticulous precision, producing a series of diagrams that will demonstrate how the light passes through and reflects into the ambient.
On the chandelier PH Artichoke, Henningsen applies his fundamental theories, and the lampshade is opening interrupting, dynamically, in a series of layers, one on top of another. These are varnished in white on the inner side to increase and soften the emanated light. Altogether, these are functioning like all the lampshades designed by Henningsen, reflecting uniform light into the atmosphere while transforming the lampshade into a sculptural and unique design object.
Best wishes,
